Valentino Rossi has encountered resistance in his push towards his seventh world title in his class. This resistance comes in the form of his MotoGP rivals, Jorge Lorenzo and Casey Stoner.  Rossi compared his rivals to sharks who would eat him in one bite if he were not strong.

Bike Insurance from The Bike Insurer In last Sunday’s race at Estoril, Rossi took a disappointing fourth place to Lorenzo’s first place and Stoner’s second place finish. This is not the first time that Valentino Rossi has been defeated by this pair of rivals. Earlier in the year he finished behind them in Mugello during the month of May, this was the first time he had been beaten in Mugello since 2002. Can Valentino stay on top and win his seventh world title in the elite class? Will Casey Stoner and Jorge Lorenzo circle in for the kill? Only time will tell. Meanwhile Valentino Rossi has six wins so far this season with three more races and 75 more points remaining. It will be interesting to see if Rossi can rise up to meet the challenge of his hungry rivals. We will have to see how he does on October 18 at the Australian Grand Prix at Philip Island.
